Jacqueline Rogers can rebuild anything...except the shambles of her past. A restorer of vintage planes, she's worked hard to earn the reputation of being one of the guys. The last thing she needs is a former Navy pilot fighting his own inner demons stepping in to defend her from dangers she thought she'd outrun long ago. Some battles must be fought alone.

All of You Sarah Monzon 9781944638030 Books

Sarah Monzon is, hands down, every bit as accomplished a writer as any of my favorite Christian authors with traditional publishing contracts. Lucky for readers, as an indie author, we still get to enjoy her fabulous writing!

All of You was simply wonderful! Monzon's characters are so real and well drawn. I loved Jackie's technical ability in a traditionally male career of airplane restoration. Her confidence with men is understandably lacking, so when she sets her sights on Michael deciding to put it all on the line, I was totally cheering her on! And Michael, whew, handsome, once Mister Confidence himself, loses all confidence after his accident and when dealing with Jackie, totally loved the role reversal when she went after him wholeheartedly.

The dual timeline is one Monzon excels at. Her WW2 characters, Alice and Henry, were equally charming and their story full of mystery and intrigue. The way Monzon uses the past to answer some of the problems of the future was outstanding! The ending was so swoon-worthy, it bears reading again. I love in the summary, the line that says it all, "Sometimes the past reaches forward to bring hope to the future". Perfect description of this book!

Monzon is a talented author who will transport readers to another time and place. I loved the trip she took me on! Maybe I should call her my new travel agent :) I've read all three of her books and the Christmas novella, Twelve Days of Snowmen, too. I can not wait to see what gem this entertaining author comes up with next. Sarah Monzon has joined my must-read list of automatic buy Christian authors.

All of You Sarah Monzon 9781944638030 Books Reviews

All of You is book 2 in the Carrington Family series. Like the first book it involves a dual timeline which are 1944 and the present. The heroine in the modern timeline is Jack aka Jackie but don't call her Jacqueline. The heroine in the 1944 timeline is Alice. Both of these women are involved in jobs that are typically held by men. Jack is a restorer of vintage airplanes and Alice flies airplanes.

We met Trent Carrington in the first book and in this book we meet his brother Michael. Michael was in the military and recovering from a loss of two of his limbs. Jack has a problem with a former boyfriend stalking her so her brother who was in the military with Michael ask Michael to watch over her. This says a lot about Michael's character that even though he is disabled Jack's brother thinks he is fully capable of watching over Jack.

I liked both storylines but the modern one is the storyline that stood out for me. I loved the development of the romance between Michael and Jack. Jack accepts and loves him as he is but Michael feels he is not good enough because he doesn't have all his limbs. This is the way our Lord sees us. Of course we are not perfect. None of us are whole but he loves us just the same. We need to accept the love that he is willing to give to us freely

I was pleased with the ending. You will not regret reading this book. I look forward to future books in the Carrington Family series.
Michael “Finch” Carrington. Fighter pilot. U. S. Navy. Driven. Successful. A believer. Until one day, a freak accident leaves him a double amputee.

During his recovery, Michael’s brother in arms, Geyser, asks him to protect his little sister, Jack, against her violent ex-fiance, Mitch.

Jack Rogers is the youngest sister in an otherwise all male household, she’s always been “one of the guys”. Michael does not agree, but Jack is out of bounds for him. Maybe back when he was whole, he could have pursued Jackie. But now? Short an arm and a leg, he can barely carry take out coffee, much less give Jack the protection she needs. And what will happen to Jack if Michael can’t protect her?

In England, in the midst of World War II, Alice Galloway is a pilot for the Air Transport Auxiliary. After running away from her father and high society living in America, she is used to breaking rules. Still, she is unprepared when she overhears crucial military intelligence. Will she follow the orders that will put her new friends’ lives at risk? Or will she risk her own life and freedom for theirs?

Michael, Jack, and their families were so alive on the page. I can picture them all. Their faces, their personalities, everything.

Michael Carrington was excellent. I loved that he refused to call Jack anything but Jackie.

I kept looking over my (okay, Jack’s) shoulder, for her ex-fiance throughout the book. The suspense was real.

I HIGHLY recommend this book because every. single. time. I open a Sarah Monzon book, I can be sure to hear God speak through the story. Her books are not preachy. Her stories feature real people, finding themselves in real dilemmas. And, whether running away from a real God, or shaking their fist at Him in despair, in the end He finds them. Always.
Sarah hit a grand-slam home run with this fantastic book! I absolutely loved the story, the characters and the dual timeline. I felt like I got to read two fantastic stories for the price of one. I loved how both timelines told their own story and how Sarah managed to weave them together into a perfect tapestry.

I enjoyed the fun references to other books of the period, and common phrases like "Ducky shinecracker" and "Doll dizzy".  It really shows how much time and effort Sarah put into making this story as authentic as possible.

The characters of this story are rich with emotion and feeling. I felt like I made new friends in this book. After I finished the last chapter, I literally gave a sigh of delighted contentment.  I'm not going to lie, it took me two days to write my review, because I was rendered speechless. This book is that good!

While this is the second book in the Carrington Family, you can read this as a stand-alone and not feel lost. But honesty, Sarah's writing is so fantastic that you will want to buy both books! I am eagerly anticipating reading more of Sarah's work in the future.

(I purchased a copy of this book. I was not asked to write a review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.)
